The people behind kyuno

A play on the initials of the founding duo Kramm and Yip, the kyuno brand aims to make the world more modular.

Olaf Kramm is the managing partner of the furniture brand IKONO, which exclusively specialises in modular seating systems. With its patented aluminium system and modern production methods, IKONO has revolutionised traditional furniture construction. Kramm has applied his knowledge from his time working as a former manager in the automation industry to develop this novel approach never before seen in the industry.

As a managing partner, Olaf Kramm is responsible for all technical aspects at kyuno. He is the architect for product development and sets the standards for the production process.

Pei Hua Yip is the owner of the creative agency HafenRaum, which specialises in holistic communications for interior design brands and real estate projects. Over the span of her career, she has managed projects on a national and global scale in the trade show and event sector for the automotive and automation industries and launched pop-up store concepts for lifestyle brands.

As a managing partner, Pei Hua Yip is in charge of sales and communications at kyuno.

In the company, we benefit from the experience and interdisciplinary teamwork of everyone on the team. As we’ve experienced again and again in product design, there is no set way to reach the desired result. Adopting this flexible approach allows us to create novel concepts during product development, based on customer requirements or simply inspired by an idea.

Made in
Germany

Before the world of wall design can be turned on its head, clear quality requirements first need to be defined. We’re committed to conducting business in Germany and view this as key to satisfying our quality requirements. Our complete wall and room system is not only developed in-house, but also manufactured in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Diversity –
Beyond industry solutions

At kyuno, we pool all of our collective experience and knowledge. We rethink entire building structures and interior design. Pioneers don’t let superficial boundaries hold them back. As a forward-looking business, we don’t just offer diversity in our industry solutions, we live and breathe it at every level of our company.

Contribution to
sustainability

While it may not be a natural material at first glance, aluminium is a great sustainable raw material when it comes to lifespan. As a practically indestructible material, it provides the basis for the system and offers clear advantages in permanent installations and when reused. For indoor areas, we primarily use fire safety tested materials made from old PET bottles, which are leading examples of upcycling. We also use a range of fabrics made from recycled fibres for outdoor areas, unless our customers request otherwise.
